According to Shiva Purana, Lord Shiva was happy with the penance of Mother Parvati in the month of Sawan and accepted her as a wife. It is said that in this month, Lord Shiva fulfills all the wishes of his devotees.

Why is the month of Sawan this time special?

Another co-incidence is that this year the month of Sawan has 5 Mondays (paanch somvar) which according to Hindu mythology is called as ‘Rotak Vrat’. According to the belief, Lord Shiva and mother Parvati fulfill all the wishes of those who keep fasting on all 5 Mondays.
Saturn is the god of justice from astrological point of view and heals the sins of many births. He gives rest after devotion and gives the fruits of karma in the form of pleasure and punishment.
